ABOUT US

We feel our home is an extended family and expect our residents to be treated with the same respect and dignity as our own.

Gardenia Court is a 29 bedded nursing home, which is situated south of the town centre. Gardenia is well located, and is easily accessible due to its flat location and surrounding areas. We are located 5 minutes from the seafront, just opposite Weston Golf Club. We are within walking distance from the town centre. Just around the corner we have a post office and small corner shop available. Clarence Park is just up the road from us if relatives like to take residents out for a walk. We also have Clarence Park Church just behind us.

Gardenia Court is quite spacious and offers plenty of communal facilities. We have a large airy conservatory which has a splendid view of the garden, as well as a large lounge to the front of the home for residents who want some quiet time. We have a foyer area upon entry if residents choose to be on their own; and some residents like to sit in the dining room. Relatives can choose where they would like to be when they visit either our communal areas or resident's bedroom. We have 20 en-suite rooms, 3 of which also include a shower; we also have two bathrooms, one being a wet room situated on the ground floor for the residents who prefer a shower, and a bathroom on the first floor.

We select new staff for their caring attitude, which we believe is inbred. We feel our home is an extended family and expect our residents to be treated with the same respect and dignity as our own. Our staff also embraces our resident's individuality, different cultures and empower them to maintain independence and choices as possible with encouragement and support. On commencing employment all our Care Assistant's complete a structured training regime over six months; once completed all staff are expected to enrol and complete an NVQ2 ensuring understanding of all aspects of elderly care.

ARCHIE COWARD
The whole team at Gardenia Court is a family. Your excellent care and nursing skills, your patience and understanding, but most of all your love has given Dad great confidence and security. He tells us how happy he is to live at Gardenia Court, and he smiles and tells us how he ‘loves you all’ and how kind you all are. You have made great steps in your redecoration and reorganisation, and the results are very apparent. Gardenia Court is a homely place, where all are welcome at any time. Gardenia Court is always well care for, and standards of cleanliness and tidiness are excellent. We can only say how happy we are that you are making Dad’s days such good days. Thank you so much from us to all of you. Regards and best wishes, Jayne, Richard and Michael

BARBARA BAILEY
I am writing to express my sincere thanks to you all for the love and care you showed to my dear mum in the two weeks she stayed with you at Gardenia Court. It is a very difficult decision to choose a nursing home for a loved one when they are not able to have any input in the choice, but from our first visit when my aunt and I met with Neela, we had a very good feeling about the home, and the people. I very much appreciate that you arranged for the redecoration of mum’s room to be finished in a bit of a rush so that it would be ready for her – and what a lovely room it was – it felt so homely and the decor so pretty. I am sorry that mum was so poorly, she was not able to appreciate the home for longer – I know that she would have been really happy there. All the staff I encountered were wonderfully caring to mum, and also very supportive of me at what has been a difficult time. Yours sincerely, Jane Tanner

SHEILA MARY JOINT
To all the staff at Gardenia Court. Our mother, Sheila Joint, came to Gardenia Court for a short time but we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the staff for showing her such care and concern. Staff always had time for her and nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks also, for making us, her family feel so welcome during this difficult time. With thanks and very best wishes from Trevor, Kevin Joint, Sarah, and John
